The Reds are 2-1 against arguably one of the best teams in the game. Thinking fewer strikeouts by Jay Bruce would have improved upon that borders on selfishness.
Don't forget the "Fire Duh-sty" diatribe halfway through the first game.

My opinion is that the board needs some outside help. Perhaps we could grab a veteran poster or two from Sam Horn. Maybe have an English teacher teach rhetoric as a voluntary practice for those that really need it. We could also have a logician come in to explain cause and effect, a mathematician explain statistics and small sample sizes, and a historian come in to teach about how history often repeats itself.

I know it may be cost prohibitive, but, really, Redszone needs to kick it in gear. We came into this with a couple phenomenal seasons, but have coasted for years. It's time to get in shape.

Perhaps we could run in the sand with Apollo Creed?

Oh, and strikeouts suck because my Little League coach told me so!

(Having said that, I will fully admit watching Jay Bruce hit is really frustrating. He reminds me of Adam Dunn and Austin Kearns, in that he's productive, but far less productive than it seems as if he should be. Appearances and all that, I suppose.)

His real skill was understanding how to get the opposing hitters to hit the ball over the fence. That was true mastery!
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

On a night when the entire team hit rapiers all over the park, including Manny Parra; I hope we are not going to say Jay Bruce has solved it because he hit a few doubles. His approach at the plate is still largely a huge issue.

Frazier and Cozart both hit 2 homers and Bruce settles for two doubles.

    Trade him.

He doesn't have a good approach at the plate. A lot of guys don't.

But throughout his career he has produced, and he seems to be improving slightly. (he's not trending down)

Nothing newsworthy has come out of these four games regarding Bruce. He is what he is.

Using this logic, do we dock Hanigan extra points in our books because he went 0-3 during this magical night?

Bruce is Adam Dunn all over again.

Instead of loving him for what he is, people continually criticize him for what he isn't, and it really bums me out.

That happens to a lot of people in the Cincinnati organization, past present and future.

two oppo field doubles and dude can't get no love.

He nearly doubled his OPS in one game.

If he continues that, he'll have an OPS in the 8000.500 level come October.

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.
