Arredondo on in the bottom of the sixth. That's gotta be a nice thing for a minor league manager, to bring in a solid major league bullpenner for the sixth.

Arredondo with a walk-less inning and 2 K's. Good to see.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Bunting does not define Donald Lutz.

Louisville handled the Mud Hens by a score of 6-4.

    Bats:
Mike Hessman with two more bombs, making it 4 in two games.
Jason Donald must be half the man Mike Hessman is. He had two doubles.
Slidin' Billy contributed a single, a double and three stolen bases, including one of home.
Henry Rodriguez, Felix Perez and Nevin Ashley all doubled. Denis Phipps homered.
Nine of the ten Bats' safeties went for extra bases.

    Arms:
    Armando Galarraga went five solid innings. 5IP 5H 2R 1ER 3BB 6K.
Jose Arredondo hurled two scoreless, hitless frames. 1BB 3K.
    Mark Prior with a 1-2-3 inning. 1K.
Clay Hensley roughed up in his inning on the mound. 3H 2ER 0BB 2K.

Fearless prediction: By the end of the season, Mark Prior will have been Louisville's closer and played a role for Cincinnati as a quality reliever.

How long until Parra is gone and Arredondo is back up?

I'm guessing Arredondo gets dealt before that happens.

I'm also guessing Mark Prior is the first reliever called up from the minors when/ if injuries hit. (Cingrani would be the first starter called up.)

It would be pretty cool if Prior could manage two or three years as a bullpen guy after all that he's been through.

Kyle Waldrop is 2-2 with a 2B. Bakersfield leads 2-1 in the third behind Carlos Contreras.

    Contreras through four: 4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 5 K. Still 2-1 Blaze.

    Contreras as a starter. Interesting.
