If a manager managed like that, moving Bruce to 8th after 4 bad games, every player would leave when they hit FA.

There is a reason why zero managers manage like that.
I don't think you manage a line up based on a "type" of hitter someone is. You manage a line up based upon "what" are you doing...what is your tendency right now. Agree to disagree.

As excited as I get by the Choo acquisition and the pitching staff and the fact that we have the best hitter in baseball, Cozart tonight is the perfect example of what is so special about this team. Everybody steps up at some point, regularly...and they seem to have a knack for spreading out the stepping up.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

Wondering if the Frazier steal is going to ruffle any feathers over there on the Wash bench

Still early enough in the game - if it was the 7th, maybe

In the 5th inning? They were playing the infield in too there, they obviously don't think the game is over.

I sure would hope not in the 5th inning. That would be approaching LaRussa territory.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

You might manage little league that way, but not the big leagues.

Up 7-0 if I'm manager I yank Bailey and let him enjoy a 0.00 ERA for the next five days.

I certainly don't think is should. GABP turns many MLB games into college type games where no lead is safe. Just curious so see going forward.
