Hoover looks to be Baker's early pick for middle reliever. That likely means LeCure is the other RH set-up man with Broxton.

While I don't agree with it, I understand his thinking.

A bit surprised Parra didn't go three innings, but it's early in the season and he hasn't had much work.

I believe Manny's ability to multiple innings gave him an edge over Arredondo in the spring training competition.

I'd give Manny a solid B for his pitching tonight. B+ for his hitting.

I thinks its a good call by Dusty to get Hoover in for some low pressure pitches.

Arise and walk, come through. A world beyond that door is calling out for you. Arise and walk, come through. It's calling out for you.

Yeah, hard to argue, but LeCure has so much value as a long man or spot starter. That said, he locks it down wherever you put him.

I agree with it completely. As long as JJ is on the big club, I'm quite happy if he's a middle reliever.

Lecure deserves a promotion to the later innings. Late last season he was light's out and he continues to look good this year. Very underrated reliever.

Great to see Bruce go the other way ....and even if he did not get a hit, when he starts doing that it bodes well for a hot streak from him. That's all I hope he continues to do and not fall into the pull everything habit.

Marshall being saved for a closer game? I would imagine.

Hoover's not fooling anyone so far. Some just-misses and a couple balls stung.

    Tired arm, perhaps?

I like Kelch, but he gets a lot of stuff wrong. I'm like "dude, pay attention".

It was nice to see them being successful on the two-point conversion!

Reds pitchers have given up 10 earned runs in four games. Even better, Latos, Cueto, and Bailey all looked liked top of the line starters, and Arroyo looked like Arroyo always does.

I dunno, velocity seems alright, movement too. Maybe just mental trying to prove himself in the most talented bullpen in the game. He didn't look sharp tonight, either.
