Edwin came to us from the Texas Rangers.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

You are right. But he came up through the Reds' organization. He started out for the Reds at Billings. I consider him home-grown.
A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

Tough crowd. I posit an honest question and I get a bunch of wise guys (many smileys here).

And I think we got EE from the Rangers in the Rob Bell trade and Willie Greene came from Expos when Reds traded John Wetteland.

Pay attention to the open sky

Buddy Bell grew up in Cincinnati.

    He's home grown.
