Friday, July 12: Wandy Peralta, Dayton . . . 5.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K. A 6-foot, 210-pound lefthander about to turn 22, Peralta relieved Nick Travieso in the third inning and pitched perfect baseball the rest of the way--which he needed to do to edge out James Allen and Jeremy Kivel. Over his last four appearances, Peralta has posted a line of 15.1 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 16 K.
Also notable . . .
James Allen: 6.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. The former college reliever (Kansas State) teamed with Ben Klimesh to record a California League shutout on the road.
Jeremy Kivel (AZL): 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K. It was the first scoreless start for the 10th rounder of last year, drafted out of a Texas high school. The 19-year-old righthander didn't pitch professionally in 2012, having torn his ACL in the spring.
Greg Reynolds: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K. A tough-luck loss for the towering righty, who won his first 10 decisions for Louisville.
Jacob Constante (DSL Reds): 4 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 7 K. The rookie lefthander has 28 K in 19.2 IP, with a 1.37 ERA.

Raynar Guererero: 3-4, 2B, R, RBI. The Reds' 20-year-old cleanup hitter is batting .337.

Juan Silva: 2-4, RBI. Flashing a .395 OBP.
Juan Silverio: 2-4, 2B.

Ben Klimesh: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.
Carlos Sanchez (Billings): 2-4, 2B. He was very productive for the Mustangs last year, but has come along slowly after a spring injury.

Pedro Diaz: 7 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 K.
Warlin Pena (DSL Rojos): 4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 4 K. The lefty is not quite 18.
