Friday, June 14: Nick Travieso, Dayton . . . 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K. Actually, there were a lot of pitchers with comparable numbers, and Travieso's weren't the best of the lot. But given that it was the first win of his career, and he's pitching in the Midwest League at 19, and he's a first-round pick that we're all interested in, well, that's enough. Besides, this precludes the gimmick pick that sorely tempted me, atop the list below . . .

Junior Arias: 1-3, HR, SB, 3 RBI, 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K. Yeah, we've got two of them. Junior Jr., 19, pitches for the DSL Reds, and apparently he's got some goods.
Armando Galarraga: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K. ERA 3.06.
Ryan Dennick: 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. ERA 3.13. Hats off to whoever in Player Development decided this guy would be a good sign, and worth converting to the rotation. And to Dennick.
James Allen: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K. Nice night for the starters.
Zach Duke: In his organization debut, 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, Sv.
Jairo Martinez (DSL Reds): 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K.
Sammy Diaz: In his first action of the season, the infielder, playing for Dayton, went 3-4 with a 2B, BB, R and RBI.
Seth Mejias-Brean: 2-4, HR, 2 R. He's been hot for some time.
Jesse Winker: 1-4, HR, 2 RBI. Back in the lineup.
Jason Donald: 1-2, 2B, R. His was the only hit for the Bats, and the only run of the game, which was enough to complete Louisville's doubleheader sweep.
Corky Miller: 2-2, 2B, BB, RBI.
Denis Phipps: 2-3, 2 2B, 2 RBI.
Juan Silverio: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI.
Steve Selsky: 2-3, BB, RBI.
Michael Beltre (DSL Reds): 2-3, 2B, 2 BB.
