A strong April would be nice.
Reds teams usually start slow (unless it's 1990) and get better with the warmer weather.

Why do my spidey senses tell me the people that are ready to print WS tickets will be the same people that will be calling for Walt and Dusty's head and a total revamping of the team when this team will inevitably hit a slump?
Baseball is a marathon and not a sprint.

Having been on RedsZone 10 years, it's less of a prediction than an inevitability. For some posters, the highs are euphoric and the lows mean it's time for the team to clean house.
Stick with the marathon approach. Baseball has some good lessons to teach us all about big-picture thinking.

The 2011 Cincinnati Reds should serve as a cautionary tale for those trying to draw any conclusions from a good start. For those who can't remember or more likely, have chose to forget, they opened the season by sweeping division favorite Milwaukee enroute to 5-1 start. They were scoring runs in bunches and Drew Stubbs had finally arrived....

Through the first week the Reds are that good. We will just have to see what the next 25 weeks brings us. The first week is encouraging though.

History does repeat itself around here. In 2008 someone started a thread entitled :"We're Pretty Good" after just a few games in April. I couldn't get the link to open up but here it is on a list. Just scroll down a few posts from the top:

The opening comments were that we had a pretty good starting lineup, rotation and bullpen although the defense was shaky
We finished in 5th place that year with a mere 74 wins.
