We booed Pujols on Opening Day as well.

Sorry.. no disrespect - I can't stand Yadier. He irritates the bejeebes out of me.

The only player in baseball that irritates me is Darwin Barney.

Darwin Barney, of all the players out there, is the one who irritates you? Why?

First off... who the heck in this day in age names their kid Darwin? I give him the nick name Evolution Boy because of it. You can't win with players on your team named Darwin, it's science. Secondly, he's a Cub. The thing that annoys me the most about him though is the way he chews his gum. Was this dude raised in a barn? He chews it like a cow would chew their cud. So annoying.

Okay, I see now. Was trying to figure out what about his attitude or playing style was upsetting to someone. I'm kinda rooting for him since he's a 3rd/4th generation Japanese American and his family were forced to play ball in the internment camps during WWII. The Nisei leagues out in California are a somewhat forgotten part of baseball history.
    btw:
He apparently puts a new piece in every inning but never takes out the old gum - by the 4th he's got an enormous wad of gum in.

Yep, it has nothing to do with his playing style. I would love to actually have his talent on the Cardinals. Forgive me, I'm a bit odd when it comes to my dislikes of ball players. For example, I didn't like Youkillis for years simply because of his batting stance.

Looks like he's taking a dump.

I thought Greinke irritated you Mike, or do I have you mixed up with someone else?

Either way, Greinke does bear a strong resemblance to Beavis. And that's certainly not a compliment.

    Schadenfreude

    http://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseb...5d5db8c54.html

The Cardinals went the entire lifespan of Busch II without allowing as many runs in a home opener, and the Reds’ 13 runs matched how many the Cubs scored in the Cardinals’ 1954 home opener for the most in the past century. The only time since joining the National League that the Cardinals have allowed more runs in a home opener was their first home game as a National League club, in 1892.

He didn't annoy me as much as I just thought he was overrated a bit. I didn't like his sour puss look on his face but that's about it.
