"I never argue with people who say baseball is boring, because baseball is boring. And then, suddenly, it isn't. And that's what makes it great." - Joe Posnanski
the multiple football shows is a tribute to the drawing power of football (even in the offseason) vs the drawing power of baseball. Baseball is highly regional, fans generally care a lot about their home team, not so much about the team 2 or 3 states over or on the other coast.
On the rankings, the easiest way to look at it is to "flip the book" lets say they had the Reds #1 at the start of the season, then the Reds go out on the road and sweep the cubs, then lose 2 of 3 on the road to the nationals. Is there really any good reason in baseball to drop the Reds significantly, this early in the season for one week? to compare it to football, that would be like reworking your power rankings b/w the 1:00 games and the 4:00 games of week 1.
Well, at least we won't have to worry about ESPiN keeping the Reds out of No. 1 in the power rankings for awhile.
Despite the Reds only losing 1 game last week, the Reds have dropped a spot? And the Cardinals are still ahead?
And how did Detroit move up a spot after having a putrid week?
And how has the Nationals only dropped 1 spot after last week as well?

Does the "Worlwide Leader" (of Derrell Revis coverage on Monday mornings in April, while 45 MLB games have been played over the weekend & after 8 NBA playoff games over the weekend)....grrrrhhhhh
Back to the question - Does ESPN have any merit at all to actually watching their baseball coverage.... I never watch baseball tonight, I just never see it come on.
Bring on 2018! #%?*!

This week’s Top 10: 1. St. Louis. 2. Cincinnati. 3. Boston. 4. Oakland. 5. PIT. 6. ATL. 7. Detroit. 8. BAL. 9. Texas 10. Arizona. Fire away.
Well...it's pretty amazing considering that the NL holds the top 3 winning %s in baseball right now (including NL and AL). It likely can't be sustained due to the number of games they play against eachother, but man that's crazy.
I see great things in baseball. It's our game.
