I didn't see the play, but often times with runners on the corners the runner on 3rd automatically goes on anything on the ground. Make the defense make the play and stay out of the double play. If Heisey stays at 3rd, the Cardinals probably turn two and the Reds have a runner on 3rd with 2 outs.Originally Posted by Maker_84

Well then he was dumb for thinking it was a force out play at home because it wasn't. Was a tag play which eliminated any change of a double play.
