Klimesh is really having a strong rebound year after a rough debut in the ERA department (walks and strikeouts were outstanding).

Sharky is swimming up the mighty Mississippi as we speak.
A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

It seems curious that they would promote a 17-year old to High-A. Alberti Chavez. I guess they didn't want to mess with anyone else's progression through the system.

Just noticed that Elmer Dessens is the assistant pitching coach for the AZL Reds. Also, there is a Joe Jocketty listed as a 3B on their roster.

My guess it's a few hours drive, whereas getting someone from East Coast would take a while. So my guess is his stay is very short until they figure out what to do.

Joe is Walt's soon. He's a non-prospect but may have a future career in the front office.

As noted elsewhere in this forum, Junior Arias to Bakersfield. Adam Matthews is now a Dragon. Joe Terry has been placed on the restricted list.

What does the restricted list mean? http://www.baseball-reference.com/bu...estricted_list

On one inning of work. Good thing he didn't go three or four; he might be starting for the Reds tonight.

As I said in other threads, he was probably just there to get back into baseball activities and would be promoted quickly once he was back in the baseball grind.

In showing their desperation for offense the Reds signed Mike Costanzo to AA.

    Can't stand ya!!
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Guess who is back in the Reds organization.

None other than Mike Costanzo. He was released a day or two ago by the Nationals, and the Reds signed him to a deal and assigned him to Pensacola. He is going to replace Marquez Smith while Smith is on the DL.
