    No, I was mistaken. The way I saw it as it happened, I thought he was further from the wall and deflected it over the wall with his glove.

    I hate to point it out, since I'm an advocate for him playing more, but there is some strange nonsense that goes on whenever Mesoraco catches.

    A fun thing to do now will be to not swing at every first pitch and see if you can string some quality at-bats together.

    Cardinals starting pitching looks flat out nasty and better than cincys, besides the 9th inning aberration by them they've looked like the better team in this series. Make you beat them cause they aren't beating themselves. Scary to think what they'll look like when Motte comes back to them

    Exactly. If you go up there taking, you are gonna be in a lot of 0-1 counts. If it is hittable, swing. Pitch count is meaningless at this point.
