No, I was mistaken. The way I saw it as it happened, I thought he was further from the wall and deflected it over the wall with his glove.
They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

I hate to point it out, since I'm an advocate for him playing more, but there is some strange nonsense that goes on whenever Mesoraco catches.

A fun thing to do now will be to not swing at every first pitch and see if you can string some quality at-bats together.

    Same here. Deceptive camera angle.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

It's hard to work the count against a sinkerball pitcher who is throwing strikes.

Bailey was struggling with his command all day and finally got burned. You think Hanigan does something different to correct that?

Cardinals starting pitching looks flat out nasty and better than cincys, besides the 9th inning aberration by them they've looked like the better team in this series. Make you beat them cause they aren't beating themselves. Scary to think what they'll look like when Motte comes back to them

Exactly. If you go up there taking, you are gonna be in a lot of 0-1 counts. If it is hittable, swing. Pitch count is meaningless at this point.
