idk how the cards make average players cy young pitchers every season but they do it and that K by Bruce should end the game. Winning the first one and losing the next 2 is a pretty bad end to a series you must have to try and set the tone against your rival but the Reds NEVER seem to win in St Louis

Bruce fans with RISP -- I know he's trying but dang - he loves those low pitches he can't hit.

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

We score 9 runs in the 9th inning Monday, and have a total of one run in the 16 innings since. Wow.

The Cardinals did have the 4th best starters ERA in baseball last year even with injuries mid season. Their starting pitching, at least in my eyes, isn't going to be the concern this year. The bullpen on the other hand....

He'd only gotten to a two-strike count on 5 batters before that inning.

Can anyone point out a good article about some causes for park HR disparity? Busch plays like a pitchers park but dimensionally it is very fair. I consider GABP and Millerpark to be fair dimensionally but obviously they aren't fair

The Reds will win this game*, mark my words.

*for legal purposes, "this game" can refer to any game played between now and July.

I'm just saying that with any team in baseball there will be ups and downs. We had a pretty good upswing over the weekend and Monday eventually we were going to slide a bit. You claimed that after an outburst of offense the Reds never score the next day. And you did so coming off a week where they scored quite often.
