As noted in the previous post, Bakersfield came from ahead to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Perfection comes in many shades and colors.

Bakersfield scored two in the top of the seventh. A D'Anna single was followed by walks to Duran and Silva. This set up a sac fly by Sammy Diaz and a run-scoring single by Yovan Gonzalez. Blaze were up 2-1 and looking giddy in the visiting dugout. El'Hajj Muhammad, who had come on with two outs in the sixth, held the lead in the bottom of the seventh.
In the top of the 8th, Bakersfield got an inconsequential single by Yorman Rodriguez.
Bottom of the 8th and things turned ugly. Brooks Pinckard relieved Muhammad and promptly blew his second save of the young season. Defense let him down in the end.
Three consecutive singles loaded the bases. Pinckard worked a double play ball as the tying run crossed the plate. He looked to be out of the inning on two occasions but errors by Juans Duran and Silverio sealed the deal. The Blaze went down swinging and missing in the ninth and 0-7 was in the books.
