I don't disagree but the problem starts with the head coach. Chane Behanon gets suspended and it lasts until basically the end of the press conference. Kevin Ware gets pulled over going 40 mph over in an expensive vehicle not even registered to him and Pitino blows it over. PJ Hairston got suspended for basically the same thing and Roy Williams made his suspension stick. Why didn't Pitino?
If you have a coach who disciplines players, these type of players either 1. won't attend U of L in the future or 2. will conform and behave. By looking the other way, opposing fans will call it out every single time.
BTW, if you're worried about what self-righteous Kentucky fans think, wait until you're in the ACC and get to deal with Tobacco Road. Louisville is going to be a red-headed step-child in a cheese and wine conference.

First game I'd gone to this season was last night. Another performance or two like that and I might not go to many more. Painful to watch.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

I don't think there will be another performance like Monday night. Maybe on the road but that performance was what this team likely needed. If they play the rest of the season like they did the final seven minutes on Monday night and give effort instead of relying on physical talent alone they will be up there for national championship discussion.
The shooting needs to be fixed first and foremost but I think the effort will be there. Andrew Harrison is going to be the key though moving forward. How he does will impact how far they go in March.

Well, Providence is actually now 6-1, having lost to Maryland, who lost to Oregon State, who lost to Coppin State, who lost to Wagner, who lost to St. Bonaventure, who lost to Siena, who lost to Albany, who lost to Bucknell, who lost to Mount St. Mary's, who lost to UMBC, who lost to American, who lost to Columbia, who lost to Manhattan, who lost to Fordham, who lost to Sacred Heart, who lost to Fairfield, who lost to Louisville.
So clearly Louisville should be #1 on this list.
81-63 the final tonight against Eastern Michigan. Randle spends most of the first half on the bench in foul trouble but still manages a double double. WCS with a near triple double (15 pts - 8 reb-7 blk). Only up three at the half and pulled away in the second.
This team looks like it's moving in slow motion at times, because they're having to break so many bad habits learned in high school. It might be January or February before it clicks for them (or maybe even March, like the 2011 team), but it'll happen and they will be nasty when it does. The December schedule is brutal, so I guess we'll know a lot more by New Years.

I think the idea of posting Randle at the charity stripe similar to how Darius was used would do well against the zones this team will undoubtedly face. I think once the Twins and Young get their legs under them a little more and Randle gets his handles settled, we will look better, a lot of improvement just in the EMU game, specifically the second half. I agree with NYR above, it may take a little longer than many anticipated, but I am much more optimistic than I already was having viewed a ton of major conference basketball teams over the Thanksgiving holiday. UK has work to do - but pretty much every other good team has noticeable flaws too. It'll be a fun year any way we slice it.
They need to be better defensively more than anything. They can't even guard a simple pick and roll. If they don't improve dramatically soon they will have double digit losses this season. No way they can beat UNC and UL with the defense they are playing now. I'm not sure they can even beat Boise.
