This is quickly becoming one of my least favorite UK teams. Belmont up by 2 at the half but the effort is still not there.
If this team doesn't put it together, fans are going to start getting restless, especially if they lay an egg against City College next week.
Fans are already restless.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

For some of them, that restlessness is a lifelong disease. I'm glad I didn't ever catch it. I'm perfectly content with where this team is. They were ridiculously over-ranked to start the season, but the three losses are all good losses (all decided in the game's final minute). Too many people forget this is the youngest team in the country, and playing six weeks of basketball hasn't changed that. They looked really good the last 30 or so minutes of today's game. Finally got the turnover number down and the assist total up, dominated the boards, shot well (other than from three) and got some steadying minutes from their only "veteran", walk-on Jarod Polson.
I wouldn't be surprised if we beat UofL by 10 or lose to UofL by 10, but regardless the outcome, I'm looking forward to seeing this UK team a couple months from now.
Just got tickets for this little game Saturday. I'm excited.

Pathetic part nowadays is that being a UL fan is more or less a tacit admission that you don't care about Louisville, the city. Sad.
I love Louisville, the city, I could care less about the University.

"Kentucky is a bigger program than Louisville. Even though they won two national titles in the 1980s ('80 and '86), Louisville is like the little brother fighting for recognition from the big brother."
Great article from Mark Story about the history of the rivalry:
