Kentucky holds Montana State to 28 points, lowest in the shot clock era. The same team scored 78 against UCLA earlier this year, and Kentucky plays UCLA later this season.
I'm trying not to hype this team, but it's getting harder and harder not to.
Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12

Pretty good to beat the Celtics. I think they could handle the 76er's after that.
This is more of testament to how bad the 76ers are more than anything. Their ownership and management should be ashamed they are having their team even considered to be beaten by a college team.

Most over matched team I have ever seen play UK. That was a pretty bad team. But UK kept a good level of intensity the entire game. They never really let up. I think Montana State scored 7 of their points late when the third platoon came in. If UK had a hot shooting night they would have won by 75 easily, maybe even a 100. The thing to watch with this team is how much they improve in shooting this season. The one achilles heel they have is outside shooting and foul shooting. In the end you have to make shots. Booker is looking better and better. He and Lyles may be the biggest keys to this team and if it can win a national championship.

These games are getting boring
Defense was down last night. They allowed 12 points in the first half.

UK has offensive problems. If that doesn't turnaround quickly they will take an L in one of the next three games. In the end you have to make shots no matter how good your defense is. Right now their shooting is woeful. Have to find a way to turn that around.

Damnit. Poythress tore his ACL.
We won't know the extent of it until Cal has his media conference today at 2 pm. Also no wor don if Ulis or Booker practiced yesterday. Cal said if they didn't they wouldn't play Saturday. UK could actually be almost short handed for the UNC game now. Injuiries can certainly change a season in a big hurry.

Yep, they sure as heck can. And the sad part is it can ruin a very special season. I always think back to my Hoosiers. There were 5 times in my lifetime where they were competing for a NC, but injuries took their toll. However, I think the 'Cats are deep enough this year to stay on course with a few injuries. Heck, it might help them out in the long run...ya just never know.
Wow. This team is special. The way they are handling tough teams is just outright impressive.
