Lucky it wasn't back-to-back shots. Hoover's time in the big leagues is running out.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

were in April not July. he has been worked a lot but he should of started 150% fresh.

I think Hoover is going down after tonight. Guy has decent stuff but can't locate right now.

Hoover might be just fine but he is just another guy in a long line of recent Reds who should teach us not to go all in immediately on guys with limited time to show their stuff.

never thought i'd say this but after watching hoover get torched again....maybe a trip to AAA is in order to get straightened out. his location is horrible right now.

Yes, sure. If you view that as the pivotal inning, you bring in the righty to face Phillips.

    Some managers would, some wouldn't.

Another rope, this one right to Heisey. Almost doubled up but it skips past Phillips.

Hoover is done. Parra in. *sigh* Color me unimpressed with Parra as well. We might be at the time to send Hoover to AAA to rebuild his confidence and bring up Arredondo. If he's legitimately corrected his walk problem, he'd be an asset. Anybody know how he's been doing at Louisville?

Hoover has good stuff, he's a good pitcher but he's all out of sorts right now. He needs to regain some confidence and control. Dusty never should have put him out there in that situation against that part of the line-up.

We just don't win trades with Atlanta. I hope we never swap with them again.

Should have left Leake in. Lets hope we don't see Hoover again till he's got his act back together in the minors.

Hope you're right. If not, Dusty will continue to trot him out there to get bombed. Why do you continue to put him out there in close games?
