I thought Cueto was pointing to his triceps, not his oblique. I'd much rather it be an oblique than an arm injury, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.

The dropoff from Cueto to Simon is like Hells Canyon.

Harrison flies out to right. 1st and 3rd. 2 outs.

No reason to throw in the towel on the season. Maybe we won't run away and hide with, or even win, the division, but we can still nab a wild card spot, worst case scenario. We don't know how long Cueto will be out. No reason to rush to conclusions and call it a lost year 10 games in. We will persevere.

I'm pretty sure this Pirates announcer just called our starting CF "Kin Soo Choo".
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Yes it looked like triceps. This team had such good luck last year with not one starter missing a start but I would be very surprised if Cueto doesn't end up on the DL

What did I say? I don't think Simon was the best choice here.

The cardinals managed last year with their injuries. Depth is going to come into play and they have at least a viable option in Tony. Depth is lacking though most other areas.

We've lost two key players and now possibly our ace 10+ games in.

I think it's reasonable for the fans to panic a bit.
