Are Mark Prior or Mike MacDougal pitching for Louisville yet? Could they be any less effective than Hoover or Ondrusek?
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

That runs on Simon. JJ comes out smelling like a rose.

Hoover has pitched 6.1 innings and is 0-3. Poor guy, that's gotta be some kind of record.

It might be part of it, but I think not being good might also be a major part of the issue.

This has always bothered me. Both pitchers should get hit in the ERA, not just the pitcher that let the runner on.

    I give up.

It's impossibly difficult being a Baker apologist.

I don't know how some of you ever did it.

He's a redszone favorite, there must be some other reason.

    This.

The kid just isn't ready. The stubborn Dusty will only use Broxton and Chapman in certain situations and Simon, Hoover, etc in others. Hoover is Masset a few years ago. Always failing and yet always pitching. I'm not a Dusty basher, but he drives me nuts.

It has to be Dusty's fault, we couldn't possibly have been wrong about JJ.

Hoover is a guy who has a good fastball (good, not great) and not much of anything else. He's a dime a dozen.
