    Of course he's been overworked. But the most important thing is to get Hoover back on track. Pitching to two hitters tonight, had it worked, would have helped.

    I just don't think this guy's problem is overwork. I think his pitches are too good, they get too much of the plate. I don't think he quite has the stuff to get away with it.

    But, yes, Hoover has been overused.

    Last year the Reds and Cardinals, like nearly every MLB team, had almost identical stats with RISP as they did overall.

    Their success with RISP might be why the Cards are doing better offensively than the Reds so far this year, but it isn't a sign that they are better at it than the Reds. History tells us it will even out over the season.

    Look at article in Enquirer...about Price not losing confidence in Hoover. He is the one talking him up.....and explaining his issues. HIS, not Baker's. Still a bad usage of him today, did not mind yesterday..beacuse he looked good in STL.

    Meh...I don't have much hope for this game. I just don't get this team sometimes.
