I didn't hear that. I just saw the graphic. If I had to guess, they're playing it safe in case a call up is needed.

Bigtime agree. Though some god of baseball broadcasting must hover over the DC area because the commercials tend to freeze most of the time when I'm watching on MLBtv.com but the game transmission works well. Hopefully my sharing that won't prompt the mlb folks to "fix" anything.

Fair point. OBP absolutely matters so long as others are there to drive people in. Others like JV and JB, right? Even on a good day like today (so far), I find myself worrying about stuff like whether JV is going to be the same as he was and whether TF will consistently perform like I know he can. For other threads, I know.

Great snag by Todd but the throw was way off line. Safe at first. E or IF single?

Looks like they're ruling it a single. Probably the right call.

Nice snag by Todd. He really put some oomph on that throw wide.

I see on the bottom scroll that Austin Kearns hospitalized with irregular heartbeat

Hate the thought of Cueto missing signficant time. Love the thought of Cingrani making a first-of-2013 start in the next week. Oh, I'm sooo torn.

That guy has had quite a tough road since The Trade.

Tapper back to Latos to end the inning. 4-0 it remains.

...and I had just pulled the game up on MiLB.tv to watch him. Bats are up 2-0 in the 4th, BTW.

Cingrani was on a 45 pitch count today regardless of the Cueto results. Just in case he's needed. He threw 41.

Are you watching mlb.tv also? Your feed is at least 2 min ahead of mine. Odd.

Here's the dream scenario: Cueto with a minor tricep muscle tweak sits out 2 starts, Cingrani pitches fantastically in his absence and joins the rotation permanently. Jocketty finds a way to get something of value for Arroyo or Leake. The win-win-win scenario!

Did anybody hear that story Marty just told about the fans behind home plate at the Diamondbacks game? Good lord. 3500 per ticket, dodger fans wearing dodger gear. The Diamondback owner came down and asked them to take off the dodger gear because they're on camera all game. They refused. So he came back and offered them free DBacks gear to wear or they had to move. I would've been PISSED if I was that fan.
