I fought and argued last year for Heisey over Stubbs. Embarrassed...

So he came back and offered them free DBacks gear to wear or they had to move. I would've been PISSED if I was that fan.

To be fair....he's 1 for 3 today with a run scored and a stolen base. And it was pretty fair to argue for ANYBODY over Drew last year.

A by product of getting on base a lot is that you will leave a lot of runners on base.
Sure. We're strongly agreeing. Coming at it from slightly different angles but both right.

Latos tries to sac bunt but Hanny out at 2nd. Nice take out slide by Ryan to prevent the DP.

Beyond fair, it was and is easy. Kind of Stockholm syndromish there. Point is, we should be demanding much better than Stubbs. With Choo, we've gotten it. Heisey is a different case as discussed a lot on other threads. Younger, needs real opportunity to play and show what he can do but should be low in the order and on a relatively short leash when there are other good options to not force acceptance of mediocrity.

I completely agree. However, my arguments were that he batted around .300 when he had extended playing time and that he should be an everyday player. He's failing to prove that this year. Still like the kid a lot and hope he can continue to provide the Reds with quality playing time while Luddy is out.
