    Hey, SB for JV there.
What evidence is there of a medical issue?

The guy isn't getting anything to hit. Joey walks all the time because they walk him all the time.

In such cases, you need other guys to make the opposition pay. Phillips just did.

    Hey, SB for JV there.
The reason is that most teams would rather face whoever is batting behind him, and JV won't get himself out by swinging at bad pitches.

Darn. Bruce K's swinging. Solid ab though. 11 pitch ab. And with that Irwin's day is done.

    Jeanmar Gomez in.

    Fair questions both. My answers:

His walk just resulted in a run scored.
Not everything but, nearly all the time, why not be transparent? Transparency is almost always the better policy imho. Helps fans, who invest a ton of energy and time in the game, to be more supportive and better fans.

Uh, yeah there is: scoring runs. I don't want to be the LOB leader, you know? Know Votto just scored and today's a good day so far but the point is you position the OBP guys high and the RBI guys middle order for a reason. You also pay 'em that way as we have. I love that Votto is contributing as he is and just hope he gets back in the RBI business as we all want him to and as he's paid to do.

Between this and the lineup stunt Gibson pulled in spring training, D-Backs should change their name to *****s.

Frazier flies out to right to end the inning. But we play a bit of add on to bump it to 5-0 good guys.

    Latos at 58 pitches btw.

Really interesting. Not relevant to this thread but think it'd make for a great discussion on another thread. In a word: outrageous. In one more: stupid.

The last two games, I have only been able to watch, not listen.

Today, I can listen, for the first time, hearing Casey. I am now watching and not listening again. This time by choice. I've read the comments on here, but till you hear him, you don't realize just how bad it is.

Teams that get on base tend to score the most runs.

The only way to step on the plate is to step on first base first.

A by product of getting on base a lot is that you will leave a lot of runners on base.
