Yep. Me too. I'm generally a big fan of letting starters with momentum (and reasonable pitch counts) go deep into games. Moreso than most modern Managers who I think are way too sensitive to pitch count. Why are modern pitchers so much more frail than decades ago? I know, I know, much discussed on other threads.

    Marshall is on the DL

Marshall's on the DL. LeCure wasn't available yesterday. Chapman hasn't pitched since LAST Sunday, Broxton hasn't pitched since LAST Sunday too. Screw the save situation stuff. Relievers need moderately regular work in order to stay sharp.

Great catch by McCutchen. DP as Votto was on the move.

Tapper back to Gomez by Bruce to end the inning. 5-0 Reds in the middle of 7.

    Latos coming back out.

Chapman and Broxton need to pitch today. Control will be an issue.

So he probably won't pitch....and someone said LeCure is under the weather? I really need to quit working so hard and focus on my Redlegs...It's April, where are my priorities?

That was a new twist on the BP DP. He nailed a sinking fastball to right center and McCutcheon was right on it...I think he was playing BP really short. I think Votto thought it was a certain base hit (I did too) and was doubled up easily at first.

100 pitches for Latos. 72 strikes, 28 balls. Yes thank you. I'll take that everyday.

Single by Marte to right. 8 game hitting streak.

Price out for a visit....Latos stays in.

You betcha. Lots to like about today. Wish the same could be said for the Nats, who've been totally outclassed by the Bravos in every aspect of the game this weekend. But that for a different thread.
