George Steinbrenner would have issued a public apology.

To those who are up in arms now and also have money invested in the stock market in some fashion.

What do you do during a correction in the market, panic and sell everything?

    Big picture guys.

Give me a few hours and a few glasses of the kool-aid, and maybe that will change. Or maybe not. I'm just tired.

The only good thing right now is the &%#$% Cardinals lost too.

And despite what some are saying here, this one IS Dusty's fault, this entire series was the result Dusty's poor management. I want to hear him take responsibility and apologize for once.

He was quoted by Fay as stating...We need to find ways to use Broxton more. This from the guy who has already designated him a 1 inning...8th inning guy with a lead only.

    They'll be fine.

I just hate watching Dusty watch the wheels fall off and do nothing. Drives me crazy. It reminds me of that Braves game a few years back, where the dude hit the HR or was it a grand slam over the RF fence as our RFer jumped and couldn't get it. Was that Lance Nix? Anyway. I always get memories of that game when the wheels fall off.

Dusty just can't think outside the box. He locks guys into roles and won't adjust when it's needed. Hence, Broxton not getting enough work.

But they'll be fine. Lots of venting and ranting in this thread. Only because we all care and love our Reds.

I was not trying to make this a super personal matter and hopefully we can just move on, but no, it's not "crap" and I don't know it. You literally made a thread last year on 4/06/12 saying this season would be great...only to say on 4/14/12, in the same thread, that you were wrong and this team was DOA. If that's not a "sky is falling" proclamation, I don't know what is.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I find it comical when people actually dig up old threads.

You're just a 23 year old kid, so I'll let it slide.

This team started off pretty bad last year and everyone and their brother was claiming the sky was falling, and they won 97 games.

Assuming Cueto isn't out too awfully long (fingers crossed) things will probably be okay. They could certainly be better though in the present if Dusty wasn't so stubbornly set in his ways of "this player his this role and ONLY this role". But he's not going anywhere.
The team was 4-8 after 12 games and lost series to STL, Washington and StL. The only thing I worry about is how our pitching staff and hitter have fallen. Time will tell.

    5-7 after 12.

    Last year they were 4-8.

Let's not freak out yet. Oh wait, too late....

Not to push the panic button here -- but we didn't have Cueto hurt (or our #4 hitter)
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

There was bad stuff going on early last season.

The Reds had signed Madson to be the Closer and he had a season ending injury. Masset began his season long stint on the DL. Chapman had to assume the role of Closer eventually, although they tried Marshall first.

It seems like Ludwick and Rolen struggled mightily at the plate early on.

Latos had a terrible April. Cueto was out until May, wasn't he?

That was 2011 Cueto was out early
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

You called him a liar. Of course he's going to go back and prove you wrong.
