How many HR will Votto hit?

It's time to find out what people are expecting from Votto this year. He's obviously a super talented player, but with the new level of respect he gets at the plate (almost like Pujols or Bonds), and with the injury still part of his story (can you see him run and slide so carefully?), what kind of power will he display in 2013? He's got 0 homers since last June and 2 RBI's this year in 11 games. I ask because he's really not Joey Votto anymore, which is funny because now everyone finally knows who Joey Votto is.

He'll wind up with a SLG over .550. I don't care how many homers he hits.

I still think he'll hit 21-25. I don't know why other than it's going to get hot and the ball will carry better.

I chose the 26-30. I wish the levels had been a little different, I think her'll be in the 24-28 range

Take it up with my 2nd grade math teacher. It's factors of 5 here or nothing.

    20. But, Votto has never been a traditional power hitter.

16-20 - And I'm fine with that for a hitter with an OBP north of .400. The addition of Choo's bat and Frazier's (hopefully) continued development should more than make up for the loss of some slugging from Votto.

Unfortunately, chicks dig the HR's and don't really give a hoot about SLG or OBP. Fans aren't buying Votto jerseys just because he leads the league in walks. They do it because he is a legitimate threat to hit the ball out of the park.

Votto's tendency to take walks is great for fantasy baseball fans. But it ain't so great for putting the casual fan in the seats, who brings their eight year old to see Joey Votto hit a HR.
