Minor League Scores - Saturday 4/13/2013

Cingrani on the hill to face the Mud Hens a second time.

    1st batter is a K

2nd batter reaches on a bunt error, the only way a Mud Hen can apparently reach against Tony.

Cingrani allows only only a bunt error in the first, strikes out two. Umpire was seriously squeezing him too, what should have been a third strike on the final batter was called a ball, and he flew out instead. Incredible.

This was against the Mud Hens, the same team he dominated on opening day. I think they are completely psyched out of it.

Oh no, I copied from yesterday's thread, and I forgot to change after Cingrani stuck out the first batter! It won't let me edit the title, sorry.

Cingrani out due to a pitch count in case the Reds need him this week.

Final line in his first two games vs. Toledo:

    8 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 19 K

To MAYBE come to Cincy. They announced on Reds Live today that Cingrani would be held to a 45 pitch count in case the Reds needed him due to a missed start by JC. This does NOT mean he is coming up, it was planned.

So if he gets called up, hopefully the Reds can start him the next time they play The Mud Hens

Sure, it's possible he's not going to come north...but with the way Cueto left the game yesterday, he is NOT going to make his next start. So unless they're skipping his spot, Cingrani is going to pitch for Cincy next week.

Bats lead 2 zip in the top of the sixth.

Jason Donald (single) brought home Konrad Schmidt (single) in the third.
Felix Perez (HBP) was brought around by Denis Phipps (single) and Josh Fellhauer (sac fly).
Henry Rodriguez has two hits (single and double).

Cingrani, as mentioned, pitched two scoreless, hitless frames, while striking out five and walking none.
Chad Reineke followed him to the mound and has continued his fine 2013 season with three shutout innings. For the season his numbers are: 8IP 3H 0ER 2BB 6k as he heads back out there to work the sixth.
