Some pretty excellent careers appear to be coming to a close soon. If this were 2005 you could almost field an all star team from this list.

But could Brian Wilson or Francisco Rodriguez help this Reds team? Podsednik as a steady bat? Can they afford another FA pickup?

Todd Coffey would increase the buffet budget, so no thanks.

Hard to believe Coffey is only 32. He's just getting ready to put on some man weight!

I see Boras is holding out some of his clients. In fact, this is probably the Boras client list.

We could upgrade our 5th starter with Moyer over Leake.

Yes, Moyer is totally the next Leake. It's... starting to... make... sense...

I wouldn't mind giving that Willie Harris fellow a shot. I'd like to see what his bat could do.

I would take a flyer on Wilson, Abreu and Sizemore.

Pretty sure Bill Hall and Ryan Sweeney have both signed but I could be wrong.

What is the latest on Sizemore? Can he play or is he still injured?

I know he had surgery in September. If he could play by Memorial Day, I'd give him a shot.

I thought he was on a minor league deal somewhere, but I guess not.

That reminds me, I saw the other day that Conor Jackson retired. Made me think how it seemed like just yesterday he and Chad Tracy were supposed to be the Arizona corner infield into the next decade.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

For argument's sake let's say there are 25 competent front offices in baseball. It says something when not one of them wants to sign these guys or pay what is demanded from any of these guys.

This list of guys is pretty much cashed out. 1 or 2 of these guys might still make a name for themselves...but its a lottery ticket at this point.
