So shocking. My sister is a Bostonian and has done the Marathon in the past. So relieved when she sent a message saying they didn't go into the center city today and were fine. I love Boston and am saddened by these events.

The reason different networks have different reports is because some are jumping the gun in the name of sensationalism. Boston Police have only just this second confirmed two dead, 22 injured.

Very scary stuff, though. Just awful.

Just called my brother to make sure he and his family weren't anywhere near there. I knew they weren't supposed to be, but I had to call anyway.

There is speculation that first bomb might have come form a trash can. One reporter stated the address of first bomb was 671 Boylston Street. And if you Google Map it there are 2 mailboxes there.....

Reading reports about ball bearings found near the location which I guess implies it was a junk bomb.

Such a tragedy. It sounds like they've already found other devices that hadn't detonated yet. Apparently this could have been much worse.

I always go through the same emotional roller coaster whenever something like this happens. Sad and on the verge of tears one minute, angry and pissed off the next.

I hope they find who is responsible quickly.

Hearing they shut off cell service to prevent use as remote detonator, in case anyone's trying to reach someone in Boston.

Getting reports of another explosion at JFK Library in Boston, although some say it was unrelated?

Boston Police Commissioner says it was definitely a bomb at the JFK Library.

Hard to believe it is unrelated.

One report is they have at least one suspect being guarded at a Boston hospital. It is a Saudi national who suffered shrapnel woulds in the blast.

The NY Post is either going to look real good or real bad after this.
