But he was trapped--not down, as Fox reported. The report that he was cornered was true. The house thing was likely an assumption--maybe by the reporter, maybe by me. I don't remember the wording.

The owner should just casually mention the name of the insurance company to one of the hundreds of reporters who want to talk to him. Then, they get to choose between good publicity and losing most of their NE customers.

Terrorism is not covered on most home policies.

Whether or not that would apply here would be in question.

The house thing was clearly incorrect. Whether it was you or CNN, I have no idea

I imagine the insurance company would gladly trade the old boat for a new one. Someone would probably pay a mint to have the old one as a piece of memorabilia.

    FWIW:

7:53 p.m. ET: Three college-aged individuals were taken into custody by the FBI late this afternoon in connection with the manhunt for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, Lt. Robert Richard of the New Bedford Police Department told ABC News. The three people were taken in for questioning, he said.

I don't either, but considering the change a simple preposition would make ("at" for "in") it hardly seems to be a big deal. Unlike saying the suspect was down, for instance.

Being incorrect is part of the breaking news business.

You're absolutely correct. In hindsight it's nice to look and see who got it right

No doubt about that. But how did they afford the weaponry, ammo, bomb accessories, protective gear, etc? Food stamps didn't pay for that stuff.

If you're a terrorist, you don't mind spending all your money on guns, bombs and the like.

And all the bombs used and found in the last 24 hours would seem in to indicate they had further bombings planned.
