    Great? No.

Better than what Leake would probably put up? Very likely.
    I agree with you.

Leake wouldn't be an improvement over what we have. I was just trying to point out what we have isn't good.

    Tallest midget and all that.

    (Sorry, off topic)

Would we DH for LEAKE at American League ball parks? If not, we would have this issue if he was taken out early:

Use of the DH is optional, but must be determined prior to the start of the game. If a team does not begin a game with a DH, the pitcher must bat for the entire game.

I DH for him if given the chance.

He's a pitcher, he had three hits the other night

Prior to this year this was his slash line

    .274/.308/.348/.656

This was the NL slash line on average (non pitchers) last year

    .261/.327/.414/.741

Those average numbers though include players like votto. High end guys that are not the other option to Leake. Heiseys and Paul's of the world are the guys he would need to better than. That being said he is still not a better option in my opinion. I would not let him bat in DH games but its not a huge gap production wise.

This idea has never gone well for me in Out of the Park, which as we all know, is 1:1 with reality.
