One way or the other Reds bullpen is gonna get a workout in this one. Already at 53 pitches

Me either. He only throws 91-93 mph on his fastball. And very rarely throws another pitch. And when he does, it doesn't go for a strike.

It will be hard to know if he has success because the hitters have never seen him. Or because he hides the ball so well.

Dobbs strikes out swinging. 5 Ks for Cingrani. 0-0 mid 3rd.

That high fastball must really be deceiving. Around the eye level everyone is swinging at it but it's nowhere near a strike if they lay off.
I see great things in baseball. It's our game.

Another K, but his stuff looks more like a good lefty reliever than a starter up to this point. I don't if it's just today, but going forward he's going to need to control something besides his fastball. Especially after teams get a good look at him.

5th strikeout. Hitters are definitely having a hard time picking up his fastball. He's throwing a little more offspeed stuff now, but the hitters aren't really going for it. Hopefully he can start getting ahead of hitters and go 6 innings

I think it's just nerves, his control will be fine, IMO.

I'll say this -- the kid is getting them out when he needs it -- just saying
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

5 Ks through 3, pretty good. 60 pitches through 3, too high.

On the RF falling down on a ball right at him and then a two run double on a ball clearly foul the umps missed. Its comical how many breaks those dudes get, Wainwright hasn't allowed a walk or a HR in 25 innings so far this year.

Quick minor league update: Drew Cisco has given up two runs through six. However, he has 12 Ks and 0 BBs. Nice. So far in 2013 in 19 innings he has 22 strike outs and walked just one batter.
