    Choo passes Votto

Choo just passed Votto for league lead in OBP. The same Joey Votto who has gone 3-5 today to increase his own OBP.

This is an absolutely amazing stat and the best part about it is that both guys could easily legitimately be in this battle all year.

I am not one of those guys that says that we should go out and sign Choo to a deal right now. You never want to do that when a guy is on a hot streak and rush to judgment. But I am a FIRM believer that Choo is the perfect fit for this team in LF for the next 5 years and would love to see the Reds figure out how to keep him around.

We have 4 7+ run innings this year to lead the majors after not scoring more than 6 in an inning all year last year. We are in first place after this game. AND we are doing all of this with our cleanup hitter, our #1 starter and our best middle reliever all on the disabled list. Oh, and now our best catcher too and very close to putting our gold glovish SS there as well.

This team is going to be fun to watch all year long!

Serious thread redundancy going on here...
