I'm at work following on MLB Gameday -- it says BA is throwing 89 in the 7th inning -- close to right?
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

Seems about right. He's been all over the place velocity-wise as usual. But he can get to 90 when he needs/wants to.

    No biggie.

Bronson looking good after his one poor inning.
I think all of Cozart's at bats today have been bad ones. In the first inning, the Reds probably score if he moves the runner. Routine grounders with men on base in other at bats.

Four times he hit with men on. Nothing close to a hit.

Votto up. Lefty in to face him.

Bloop single for Votto, in front of Juan Pierre in left.

My point was he wasn't swinging at bad balls, he wasn't letting meatballs sail past, he worked the count decently. Sometimes those ground balls get through, sometimes they don't. If a couple of them get through, nobody would be saying anything. A good ab doesn't have to result in a hit everytime IMO.

Phillips, Bruce and Frazier with a chance now with Votto's hit. No outs.

    1-1 on Phillips.

    Phillips ultimately strikes out swinging.

Yeah, but he hasn't hit the ball sharply. A couple of times he seemed overanxious. No productive outs. Just a bad day for Cozart IMO.

Bruce hits it in the corner. Votto held at third, he would have scored IMO.

    Bruuuuuuuuuuuce
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Nice Jay! Odd that they held him. It looked like Joey should've scored there.

Sure looked like Speier may have screwed up on that one. Am I crazy or did that look like Votto should have scored on that?

New pitcher coming in. Gee, I thought Votto could have scored easily on that double. Only watching on TV. Thought Speier was too conservative there.

Seems like when Joey is going well, Brandon isn't. They rarely seem to be hitting well at the same time.

Agree to disagree Kc on Cozart. I've seen 2 decently struck balls from him today and 2 weakly hit balls.

I'll drop it. But I can't excuse a guy for leaving 7 men on base. And when Choo was on second with no out, didn't move him over.

New pitcher is Chad Qualls. He was tough last night.

Frazier up in a key situation.
