The scary thought is that Frazier's hit in the 7th was the winning hit. If he fails there, this could have been a 6-5 win for the Fish.

    Good win.

Yeah but if the Reds don't pile it on there, it's not as likely that Dusty uses Parra or gives him that much rope.

Very true. Probably Broxton. I really don't understand why Manny is on the team, but 11 wins says they are doing OK. Only had 11 the entire month last year.

Dusty, bemoaning the OBP stat on the postgame. Never fails. Talking big about the rbi.

Gee, Dusty. If Choo and Votto weren't leading the league in OBP, BP wouldn't have anyone to knock in. LOL>

Dairy Queens used to only sell ice cream. Then some stores converted to selling burgers and fries... These stores were designated by having a sign that read "Brazier" under the DQ sign. Eventually all DQs converted to Brazier status. I am not sure when they started calling the burger the " Brazier" burger.

I may be wrong, but I think that most DQs still have the word "brazier" on the sign under the DQ.

Do you disagree with him? I sure don't. Getting on base is fantastic...but it isn't very helpful if they don't actually score.

And look again...he's not bemoaning OBP. He's just saying his priority is to actually SCORE.

He could say "You know OBP is great because it is what allows us to score, which is even greater." No 'but'.

I think both are important. Get on base and knock them in.

Dusty has made crazy statements in the past about "clogging the bases" and his use of the low OBP Stubbs and Cozart at the top of the lineup was simply pure bullheadedness, and showed his disdain for OBP.

I listened to BP on the postgame show and he gave all the credit to Choo for getting on base.

The winnng hit was actually Phillps 2 run single as it put us in the lead of a game we lead throughout afterwards.

And, with a 5-2 lead there is zero chance that Parra gets anywhere close to the mound.

Plus, everything would have been different anyway.
