I think that's the first time I've seen an outfielder drop one with his glove and his bare hand on the same play.

2-1 Reds and BP is up with 2 men on and 1 out.

Joey says that he was really messed up and down on himself the other night, but a talk with Brooke Jacoby was all that he needed.

He looked bad there. 3 pitch k. It's like his eyes got huge on that first pitch and swung for the fences....he was toast after that. He clearly changed his approach in THAT ab. Flying open too. Haven't seen that in a while.

Crap. Tapper back to the pitcher by Mes to end the inning.

About as embarrassing of an at-bat I've ever seen from a hitter........Jay Bruce. What a wasted opportunity.

Another anecdotal observation... Pitchers struggle in half innings after they are on base. I wonder if some TLR type has ever proposed walking the pitcher and having the pitcher try to pitch a lot of foul balls just to gas the opposing pitcher.

Homer and Mes not really on the same page today. Lots of shaking off.

Pitch count working its way up for Homer too. 65 in the 4th after the walk to Valaika

Seems like it will be a day where Homer has to battle.

    Homer does not trust Mes.
