But I simply don't understand why they don't try and do it anyway. We haven't had a legit leadoff hitter like this in forever. Dude is making the whole team better. Seriously.
They have to try. Arroyo coming off the books helps a little, at least. I say that as someone who loves Bronson, too.
Just remember....the vast majority of people here also said that we KNEW signing Votto wouldn't happen either. At this point, it seriously won't shock me at all if we extent Choo. I'm almost to the point where I expect it to happen.

Even with Hamilton in the wings, we can just move Choo over to LF. Choo doesn't necessarily need to be our leadoff hitter to be a successful batter on this team. The money situation on the other hand, that would be more difficult to overcome.Originally Posted by Vottomatic

Considering the year he's putting up and his agent I highly, highly doubt we have the money to re-sign him unless he takes a discount to stay with us.
