    It's a catchy song.
Are they changing the lyrics to: "Het Chicago whaddya say, the Cubs are gonna blow the game"?

Maybe, but I hope not, it probably would be harder to get the crowd to sing along to that.

The use of the word "Het" doesn't help either... I see your point.

I'll admit I grew up watching Cubs games on WGN with Harry and Steve, so I do have a bit of a soft spot for them.

Simon gives up a two-run jack in the top of the inning and 'vultures' the win.

4:30 AM wake up, so I went to bed before the 11th. Saw on my Twitter feed this morning how the game ended and had to check the game thread for Maker's throwing in of the towel. I knew he wouldn't disappoint.

Good job guys. Way to bring home the W! Nice. Bruce with the clutch 2 bagger and Izturis walks it off. :O)

Is this some kind of joke that I missed earlier or what? I can't speak for anyone else, but I absolutely despise the Cubs.

Apparently, Homer was on deck when Izturis hit the walkoff....

If the Cubs had decided to walk the bases loaded instead of face Cesar Izturis or Devin Mesoraco in the 13th inning, it would have been Homer Bailey batting in the 9th spot for reliever Alfredo Simon.

Reds manager Dusty Baker said he didn’t want to burn his backup catcher, so he had ordered Bailey to put on his spikes. Bailey was in the hole, with a helmet on his head and bat in his hands when Izturis singled home Jay Bruce with the winning run in the bottom of the 13th inning.

“Who do you want to face? Izzy or some guy hitting .400?” said Bailey, who is 2 for 5 this season. “What do you think they had the meeting on the mound for?”
Absolutely LOVE Homer's quote at the end. Priceless!
