I've always hated it when the fans do that (home OR away). Booing the pitcher for tossing over to first. I get it when the pitcher does it like a dozen times....but once or twice? Come on.

DP to end the inning. 2-2 heading to the 9th.

I've applauded the patience of Reds hitters all season. But tonight is one of those nights where the Cubs are getting ahead in the count and the Reds hitters are taking alot of good pitches early on in the count. Frustrating.

The umpire giving Russell about 6 inches off the plate against Votto set all of that up. Should've been 2-0, changed the whole inning around.

    Cozart walks
    Votto strikes out swinging

Have those two events ever happened back-to-back before?

This is what I'd look like facing Chapman. Running away like a little girl. No chance in hell that I'd dig in against him. Hehehe.

I know it's by the book, but Chapman has become the Tied-at-9 Guy.

I was just going to ask whether it really makes sense to bring Chapman in with a 9-9 game. Shouldn't he be the one to slam the door shut rather than hold it closed?
