    You just can't do that

One of my biggest pet peeves happened in last night's game. Thankfully, it was for us instead of against us. Feel free to add to this list of things that should never, ever happen. Oh, they do, this is baseball....but they shouldn't.

    1. Taking a lead in the top of an extra innings game, only to give it back in the bottom (especially when it's not a back-and-forth high scoring game).

    2. Failing to score a runner (before the end of the inning) who is on third with -0- outs.

    3. Popping up or striking out with a runner on third and one out.

And the enemy gets a vote, actively trying to thwart what it is you know you have to do.

    4. Anticipate a double play. We've been told so many times.

Up to bat ... their pitcher walks our hitter on 4 straight pitches. He is having control issues. Our next guy grounds out or pops up on the very next pitch out of the strike zone. You just can't do that. You need to make them throw a strike. cough cough heisey cough cough

You know what really grinds my gears?

It's when one team scores more runs than the other team, and the other team is the Reds.

Totally. If they could do all those things at will, they would be crowned BEST TEAM EVAH.

Especially when he's leading off the inning.

Make the first out at third.
Swing and miss on a 3-0 count.

Everytime I see a club fail in a fundamental situation, I gain more and more respect for Barry Larkin. Guy on 2nd with nobody out, Lark could hit it to the right side at will. Or so it seemed at times.
As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.
