The last 2 years combined he's below .500. I know, only 200 at-bats, but it's not like he has a track record of hitting them well... at all. The fact he has been hitting like a pitcher against lefties over his last 2 years certainly seems that choosing to bench him in favour of a guy who generally handles lefties reasonably well is certainly far from "clueless". Dejesus is at best .660 against lefties, at worst, he's disgusting. He's just not a dangerous bat against lefties any way you slice it.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Soriano steals 2nd. A higher throw by Corky would have gotten him.

The guy on the mound for the Cubs has been awfully good so far this season. I just hope it gets going at some point during the game and hope it is enough to win.
