Worst case scenario.....good to know the staff is officially six deep. It's a long, long season.
Seven deep, if you count Chapman.

I'm pretty sure mlb will have to lower the mound again because of him. Maybe do away with it altogether.

Shouldn't the Reds lock him up with a like 20 year $100,000,000 contract?

I mean what possibly could go wrong?

If Leake is moved to the BP, which reliever gets dropped?

    Hoover to AAA?

No. Other pitchers will still use the mound. Every stadium will have a "Cingrani pit." They'll dig a hole one foot deep about 10 feet behind the mound and Cingrani will pitch from there. It will be covered over on days when he's not pitching and when the opposition is in the field to avoid it interefering with ground balls.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

I fully expect him to get 110% of the vote.

On a related note, some kids in school Friday, directed by a teacher, made a banner that said "We pledge to give 110% on the Westest" (the all-powerful year-end standardized test.) I hope that didn't include the math portion.

    Cingrani for President.

I'm just not sure where you get this idea, here's Leake's splits, and the more times through the order the worse he is:
    Code:
    Split G	ERA	OPS	tOPS+
    Innings 1-3	83	3.68	0.745	93
    Innings 4-6	81	4.49	0.786	103
    Innings 7-9	38	5.98	0.858	119

Starting a grass-roots effort for him to be awarded a pre-post-mortem lifetime achievement grammy in folk rock.

I'm willing to start a Cingrani fan club -- please send all your money to the same Bahama's bank account that I used for the Cozart Fan Club and the Ryan Ludwick Fan Club!
The older I get - the better I was

and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)

    I miss Raisor

Seriously. Lost in the shuffle of video game K rates and 96MPH fastballs is the fact that this guy is furiously competitive. I love it.
