From what I've seen this year, he's starting in the mid-90s, and then the velocity continues to creep up as the inning goes along. But I don't think his goal is to lighting up the radar gun anymore ... he seems to be more focused on location.

Agreed. He doesn't need to top 100 to be effective. He has to throw strikes and mix in his slider to be effective. Oddly enough, that formula will work as a starter as well.

Had it all the way. That's two 1-0 wins on the homestand. And Latos gets no support again, but comes away with the win.

Broxton got the biggest outs of the day though. I guess that bad outing was a fluke


And while I really wanted to see Chapman as a starter this year, a game like this makes me glad we had him to come out and finish it off.
