game over -- 1-0 - my favorite type game!
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
I miss Raisor
9 innings of shutout ball from Mes.
Good thing they didn't wash this game out then, eh?
And the Reds take the series. Nice work.
Stars of the game:
1) Latos
2) Cozart
3) Broxton/Frazier
Had it all the way. That's two 1-0 wins on the homestand. And Latos gets no support again, but comes away with the win.
Broxton got the biggest outs of the day though. I guess that bad outing was a fluke
And while I really wanted to see Chapman as a starter this year, a game like this makes me glad we had him to come out and finish it off.
"Rounding 3rd and heading for home, good night everybody"
Almost dead on...

My favorite kind of win:
1-0 pitching duel won on a home run

Reds went 5-2 on the homestand, but that won't be good enough for some.
"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
Got to hand it the Cubs starters in this series. They pitched well.
