I might have been wrong about X Paul. I expected a OPS < .650 at this point. I hope my error continues.

Back to back walks, and swinging first pitch. Somewhere, Thom is curled up in a fetal position.

Back-to-back walks and Meso grounds out on the first pitch he sees.

I had no problem with him swinging first pitch with Latos on deck. It was down the can he just rolled over it.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

Keep waiting for Mesoraco to show that middle-of-the-order bat of his.

I agree. It was in his wheel house. It is silly to take a pitch that is obviously a strike and one you think you can drive.

Now had the pitch been on a corner, I would have laid off it.

Cardinal's starting pitching so far this season:

    ERA 2.38
    FIP 2.74
    xFIP 3.26

    Bullpoop.

I didn't say anything about winning or losing the game, and I was referring to the season thus far, not just today's game. It would be nice to see one of our starters rewarded with a W for their quality starts.

Good lord. Samardzija tried to do it again. Reached out barehanded to try to snag that one too. Daim Bramage. :O)

I liked his reaction to the dugout after that
