I'm pretty torn on who I'm rooting for out West. I honestly like all four teams, but I think I'm pulling for the Grizzlies and Spurs. To me, these games are a lot more exciting than the blowouts in the East.

I expect the Pacers to finish off the Knicks and I expect the Heat to beat the Pacers but I think the Pacers will make it a series.

Agreed, not that it will matter much, but I think the Pacers will be doing whomever the Western Conference team is a big favor by physically beating up on the Heat in the same way the Bulls are in this round. I'd expect the Heat to win in 6 games, but I bet they'll be worse for wear after it. I wouldn't expect the Knicks to beat up Miami in the same manner.

Awesome article. Now if only Phil would agree to a job with my Nets...

    Just saw this:

Shane Larkin's 44-inch max vertical is the highest at the NBA Draft Combine in 12 years

    Yes, Barry's son. Nice.

You must be both pleased and torn by this Western Conference Finals match up, then.

This one won't end in 5, I predict. Tough match up for both teams, with Splitter and Randolph healthy and banging away in the lane.

I like these Pacers, starting to grow into a Spurs-like model of consistency.

Why aren't there Pacer billboards with David West and Lance Stephenson in Cincinnati?

I like these Pacers too. David West has quickly become one of my favorite all time Pacers over the last few seasons.

I can't see them beating the Heat though. My guess is 6 games. Wade will do his thing where he's too injured to produce for a couple games but then he'll toss in a couple great games and that'll be all they need.

That Knicks team was strange. It was like some sort of basketball experiment:
"What would happen if you built a basketball team entirely out of one dimensional players?"
    By Donnie Walsh
    The list:
    -Carmelo/JR - Iso Scorers
-Chandler - Pick and Roll Defense
    -Shumpert - Perimeter Defense
    -Novak - 3's
    -Kidd - Swinging the ball
-Felton - Destroying buffets...oh wait...not sure what Felton does.
-Amare - Pick and Roll Scoring
    -Chris Copeland - ???
    -Kenyon - Screaming Dunks
    -Prigioni - Full Court Defense
    Just strange.
    Variatio delectat - Cicero

The new hot rumor I keep hearing is Jeff Van Gundy, and if he doesn't want it maybe his brother.

Fine by me. I don't think PJ is a very good coach. Unfortunately, I doubt even Phil Jackson could have done much with the Nets roster. A couple of bad contracts will hurt us until they go.

I have hopes that with some shrewd off-season maneuvering the Nets can add a guy like Paul Pierce (a guy they tried to acquire at the trade deadline) to go along with the real talent of the team in Williams and Lopez.

I wish I could get into the Pacers, but I just can't seem to force myself to care what they do. I wish I had an NBA team to follow, but unless the Cincinnati Royals come back from the grave, I guess I'll always be an impartial spectator.
