Really is hard to believe after 25 games or so, on pace for 6 for the year.

    And now it's 6 to 1.

Single up the middle by Werth. Was Leake worse than this? Really?

    I don't get this either.

I thought the Reds would have a tough April given their schedule, but following them right now is painful.

Commentator Said Harper Was Up There To Do Damage. Not Looking To Get To First Base on A Walk. That's Bound To Excite Some Folks.

    Well, this sucks.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I agree. But considering how many guys have struggled at the dish, the fact that we're still above .500 is a testament to just how awesome the pitching has been. That bodes VERY well for the remainder of the year IMO.

Hoover warming. If you're going to put in Simon this early, he HAS to go more than 1, right?

    Paul K's swinging. 1 down.
Hannahan IF single to 2nd. Poor throw.
Mesoraco pops out to 2nd. 2 down.
Simon hitting for himself....good idea. Team leading 1.000 batting average. :O)

Or not. Simon grounds out to 3rd. 6-1 it stays.

Not that it's having a big effect on the score so far, but Rob Drake has to be one of the worst umps at calling balls and strikes ever. We're talking Eric Gregg bad.

I gotta believe this is just a rough stretch, this team has too much talent to be flailing like this.

I'm really trying to be optimistic but I have the magnet by my desk that says "optimism is really nothing more than lying to yourself" --

You really should move that magnet to a Cubs' fans desk.
